Who are we?
Here at Legal Cannabis Movement, we believe in the legalization and regulation of cannabis.
We believe that the proper education of the cannabis plant and it’s derivatives is the key to deciding whether the plant is right for you or not. In 2013, approximately 612,000 people die each year from a combination of drug overdoses, prescription overdoses, tobacco, secondhand smoke, and excessive drinking. These numbers are staggering in comparison to deaths from marijuana, which stand at zero. Not only will legalization produce millions of dollars in taxes for the respective states and help millions of ailing patients, but will also be a major blow to drug cartels and the underground drug world.
In 2013, there were 44,000 drug overdoses.
18,000 of the deaths from overdoses were prescriptions.
→Excessive alcohol use
An estimated 88,000 people die each year from excessive alcohol use.
Unless you're able to smoke 1,500 pounds in 15 minutes, you cannot overdose on cannabis, resulting in 0 deaths reported.
